Originating in the Tampa Florida cigar-producing neighborhood of Ybor City in the late 1800's, the "Cuban" became a staple to the district's factory workers. The area's German cigar rollers added the mustard due to lack of refrigeration and the Italian bricklayers added the salami and the hot press. Yum!
